Itching to join in the Clubhouse conversation?
Clubhouse invites may be hard to come by, but there are a few options available to get yourself on the hottest app in town.
If you didn’t know already, Clubhouse is currently an invite-only app, exclusive to iPhone users, where people take part in audio-only conversations with friends, celebrities, entrepreneurs, and more.
Getting started with Clubhouse is a pretty straightforward process. However, there’s one thing standing in the way of a host of people getting involved: an invite.
Let’s take a look at how you can get yourself an invite.
Getting a Clubhouse invite from a friend
Now, this may seem pretty obvious, but the best way to get an invite is to, well, be invited by a friend who is already active on the Clubhouse app. Pretty mind-blowing stuff, right?
Clubhouse users receive two invites each. It’s important to note that your Clubhouse-using friend needs to have your phone number in the contact list in order to send you an invite. Once they have your number, they can send you an invite to download the app, and you’re good to go.
But what if you don’t have any friends who are active on Clubhouse, or you don’t happen to know Elon Musk?
Note: before you can even think about scoring yourself an invite to Clubhouse, you’ll need to make sure you have an iPhone, as the app is still exclusive to iOS right now.

If you aren’t lucky enough to know someone already using Clubhouse, there is an option to join the waitlist. While this is obviously a slower option, it is available to anyone who would like to join.
In Clubhouse’s own words: “anyone can get [an invite] by joining the waitlist, or by asking an existing user for one.”
Buy an invite
While we’re not recommending you do this, if you simply can’t wait to join in on the conversation, you might want to consider trying to purchase a Clubhouse invite. Yep, invites to Clubhouse have been popping up on Twitter and other social media sites, but is it really worth buying one?
Buying an invite will obviously have its risks, so it’s up to you to decide if this route is worth taking. However, we recommend trying to score a Clubhouse invite through one of the legitimate methods above. The waitlist may be long, and iPhones are expensive, but patience is the key here. As Clubhouse grows (and we’re betting it will), it will almost certainly expand its user base and become available to Android users.
